How Long Is A Round Of Disc Golf?

The length of time it takes to play a round of disc golf can vary significantly depending on a number of factors, including the size of the course, the number of players, and the skill level of the players.

On average, a round of disc golf can take anywhere from one to four hours to complete. However, it is not uncommon for rounds to take longer, especially if there are multiple players or if the course is particularly large or challenging.

In general, the more players there are, the longer it will take to complete a round, as each player will need to throw their disc from the tee before the next player can throw. The size of the course is also a factor, as longer courses will naturally take more time to play. Finally, the skill level of the players can impact the length of the round, as less skilled players may take more throws to complete each hole.

It’s worth noting that the length of a round of disc golf can also be affected by external factors, such as the weather and the condition of the course. For example, a round may take longer on a wet or muddy course, or if the players are experiencing strong winds or other adverse conditions.

Time By Round Length

Playing 9 holes should take no longer then 75 mins

Playing 18 holes should average 1 and half 2 and half hours or 90 to 120 mins

Playing 36 holes on average will take 2 and half to 4 hours.

Can I play more then one round?

Yes, during practice it is common to play more then one round at a time or per day. During disc golf tournaments it is common to play up to 4 rounds depending on the tournament type.

How Much Does A Round Cost?

The cost of playing disc golf can vary depending on a number of factors, including the location of the course and any associated fees. Some disc golf courses are free to play, while others may charge a fee to cover the cost of maintaining the course.

In general, the cost of playing disc golf can range from a few dollars to several hundred dollars, depending on the specifics of the course and the type of experience you are looking for. However, it is very possible and also recommended to play on free courses in your area (at least starting out). Check out our courses map to find disc golf courses near you.

At the lower end of the spectrum, many public disc golf courses are free to play, or may charge a small fee (such as $5 or $10) to cover the cost of maintaining the course. These courses may have limited amenities, such as basic tee pads and baskets, but are a great option for players looking for an inexpensive way to enjoy the sport.

At the higher end of the spectrum, there are also more upscale disc golf courses that may charge higher fees to cover the cost of more elaborate amenities, such as pro-level tee pads and baskets, and may also offer additional features such as clubhouse facilities, pro shops, and practice areas. These courses may appeal to more serious or competitive players, or to those looking for a more premium disc golf experience.

It’s worth noting that many disc golf courses offer discounted rates for players who purchase annual passes or season passes, which can be a good option for frequent players. Additionally, some courses may offer discounts to players who bring their own discs, rather than renting them from the course.
